Natural Ways of Detoxing Your Body

Now that the New Year is upon us and during the holidays you may have ate too much, drank too much… you may want to get your body back in shape. Time to detox your liver and the rest of your body, here are some great herbs and natural detoxing rituals that will help.
Start with a mung bean and rice cleans, this is a gentle way to get rid of pesky toxins in your body that are causing you pain, slowing you down, slowing down your metabolism, and also your immune system. Mung beans and rice can be cooked together and should be eaten for 7 days in order to cleans the whole body of toxins. You can also add spices such as curry, cumin, coriander, pepper, and a little bit of salt.
One of the best ways to cleans the liver and your whole body is with a cold coffee enema. This is a low enema, you don’t want a high cold coffee enema. Brew strong coffee and let it cool to body temp and then add the coffee to a enema bag. Lay on your right side and insert the lubricated tip of the enema tube and open the clamp and allow the coffee to flow into your lower colon. Hold for 10 to 15 minutes and then get up and evacuate on the toilet. This is a powerful way to cleans your liver of all toxins and get your immune system up and going.
Burdock Root is wonderful for cleansing your liver, gallbladder, and your lymphatics making it very important for doing a whole body cleans. It also helps to remove excess fluids from the body by being a good diuretic… so it will also help you lose water weight.
Milk Thistle is one of the best herbs for cleansing your liver and for helping your liver to rejuvenate. A little bit of milk thistle tea, or chewing on some milk thistle seeds will do your body good. In fact you can toast your milk thistle seeds and add them to salads, they have a nice nutty flavor and tastes great.
