Forecast for week of March 6 – 11, 2012
Say goodbye to the relatively quiet, if sometimes disorienting, tone of recent weeks. Have you been longing for action? It’s coming. This week brings a few noticeable atmospheric shifts and lots of staging for big, big developments next week.
All that groundwork you’ve been doing for months — all that maddeningly slow and steady preparation that’s been underway — is on the brink of blossoming and paying off. Next week an aspect becomes exact that has been loosely with us on and off since November: the grand trine (I mistyped it as “ground trine” again!) linking Mars, Jupiter and Pluto in the three earth signs.
As if to bless the fruition that’s coming, Venus is joining their line-up now. Before most of us awaken Monday morning, she is entering Taurus, the more sensual and earthy of her two homes. (Saturn’s in her other one, the more refined and verbal sign of Libra.) Her homecoming bodes well for relationship and financial matters, which are up for more solid, grounded and rewarding form. The easy, natural comfort she has in Taurus will carry over into them and also smooth the sometimes troubled waters we’ve been experiencing lately.
Her unabashed enjoyment of physical existence is an open invitation to go out in nature, savor food and drink, admire beauty, wear clothes and engage in activities that make you feel good, and generally have a good time. Kindred spirits will be gravitating to each other and making merry, just because they can. The opportunity opens to heal some old wounds when Venus reaches out to Chiron over the weekend. Let the good vibes awaken you to awareness AND appreciation of the bounty that already exists in your life. That is the starting point for maximizing what more is coming.
Signs of that will be emerging with expansive Jupiter and action-oriented Mars gliding into position for next week’s round robin. Thursday’s Full Moon in Virgo will review your efforts so far and point out where there’s room for improvement. (More in my mooncast, which will be posted on Wednesday.) Continue your groundwork. This is not the time to let up; it’s the home stretch for the first big flush of growth.
One more of next week’s developments starts making itself known Friday when Mercury arrives at the degree where he will retrograde on Monday. He and Mars are in each other’s signs now, a condition called mutual reception, which blends their energies. Since Mars is already retrograde and Mercury on his way there, what will happen will be closer to spinning in place than moving forward. The whole weekend could feel suspended in time, with so many bodies in earth signs and the planet of communication and travel effectively not moving. Sounds like a formula for a lazy, indulgent time, if a bit weird. Don’t be fixated on outcome (think back to the massive weirdness of last Friday evening.) Just accept, deal with and, best case scenario, enjoy whatever wafts (or blasts) your way.
Talks On Navigating the New Energy
I’m presenting two different but equally important talks with tools for navigating Neptune’s 14-year voyage through Pisces. This Tuesday, I’m giving a phone talk of Part II, teaching techniques for recognizing and clearing out all the energy you pick up that’s not yours. $ 20; register here. I’ll be giving that talk in person at the end of the month, along with Part I, which links your physical senses to your inner GPS so they cooperate and deliver signals you can trust. $ 20 each, March 15 & 29 at The Goddess in Eden, Montclair, NJ. My five-minute podcast offers another take on this week’s events. If you like it, please give it five stars on iTunes! (Don’t want to use iTunes? Use the Podcast/Video link at the top of this page.)
Monday: The overnight hours are both stabilizing and stimulating, with Venus coming home to Taurus and both the Moon and Mercury linking to Uranus the awakener. Mercury’s meeting triggers an “Aha!” moment so attention-getting that it could literally open your eyes. At the same time that you’re settling into comfort with your life, your thinking is blowing open dramatically. An expansive vibe rules the day. Looking at your life with fewer limits leads to an eagerness to have more, more, more — which opens into a greater experience of earthly delights, love and fulfillment. Hat trick of the day: Sharing what you have does not leave you feeling like you have less. Experiment with that.
Tuesday: Tonight I’ll be teaching techniques for reclaiming your energy from people and situations in my teletalk Navigating Neptune in Pisces Part II: Working With Your Energy Filters. Sign up here. Tonight’s dreams are edgy, motivating us to work an issue out for ourselves. No external confrontation is required, because the morning promises moments of grace, warm fuzzies and deep satisfaction with your life and companions, if you will stay focused in your heart. Remember the sensations; they are a harbinger of next week, when Venus conjoins Jupiter. Working hard and tending to obligations dominate the second half of the day. When you feel nourished heart and soul, elbow grease is easy to apply. Flesh out a to-do list and tackle away.
Wednesday: It’s another paradoxical night, with phantasmagorical dreams that are both heart-warming and unsettling. The question of what in your subconscious is trying to get your attention underlies another active, work-focused day. Deliberation and mental choices pave the way for an expansive afternoon of monumental accomplishment. Like the Energizer bunny, we just keep going into the evening, which brings a powerhouse of productivity. All work and no play makes for some cranky people later on. Pick your battles. Better yet, don’t engage.
Thursday: A pause button comes down today on all that productivity. Striving is pointless; embracing whatever comes up is the way to go, because the Moon is void of course for the entire waking day, from the moment of the Virgo Full Moon (4:30 AM EST) until 10:51 PM. You should have plenty to ponder during that floaty time. Before dawn, the Virgo Full Moon gives your subconscious a report card on what you’ve been working on and toward. You’re attuned to what is working, what isn’t and what needs improvement. There may be some worry or overthinking in the mix, too, what with the Moon’s ruler Mercury being in an energy link with Mars in … Virgo. (Read more in my mooncast, which will be on the site Wednesday.) Throughout the day, you may hear and you may think fault-finding commentary about yourself. Turn your focus on the positive, on what you have achieved, and on your inherent worth as a person disconnected from your resume or worldly accomplishments. A new and kinder way of dealing with criticism is at hand, especially the bad talk from yourself.
Friday: The predawn hours invite viewing yourself with confidence and compassion and processing the change going within and around you. Daytime puts you to choices in how you treat people and what you accept from others, and also in how you allow yourself to enjoy physical existence. Turn any communication stand-off into fodder for becoming more aware of your thoughts and word choices. That’s a more personally productive approach than going on the offensive, and it’s in keeping with the cosmic hands shoving you into letting things go. The evening brings another choice, this time in how you choose to use your energy. Will it be exercise? Chewing on what’s wrong? Cleaning? Healthy choices are grounding. Unhelpful ones could be oppressing.
Saturday: A night of agitation gives way to a day with a sweet, lovely tone. Wounds of separation and recrimination find soothing as Venus, ruler of our hearts, crosses Chiron, the wounded healer who challenges us to master physicality. A prominent woman may be in the news due to her own challenge; another event in the ongoing assault against the feminine is also likely. In your own world, forgiveness and gentleness are in the air for you to soak up and pass on to others. The sky delivers few distractions, with only one major aspect, a window for settling down and grounding late evening. The week has put you through many a hard push. Take today’s opportunity to unwind and sooth your spirit.
Sunday: Once again, the overnight hours buzz with activity. It seems we’ve got work to do in our subconscious to keep pace with all the developments in the waking world. Tonight’s session spins some entertaining stories from our daytime plotlines and offers alternative viewpoints on them and some of our co-stars. Watch how your waking communications morph and evolve in response. The morning is a laboratory in interpersonal relations and communication. Self-indulgence peaks in the afternoon. It’s okay if you go overboard. Opportunities quickly arise to scale back, impose self-discipline and return to the productive drive that has been so prevalent this week.
