Forecast for week of July 9-15, 2012
By Kathy Biehl
Catch your breath. Breathe. Breathe deep. The last couple of weeks have been heavy on moments that knocked breath out or stopped it outright. Take every chance you get now to replenish it.
Those chances will be popping up more frequently this week. No one can go full tilt ahead without a break, and the astrological influences are providing time for that now. Once again, after monumental aspects have converged, they’re going to hang in the air with little new coming to join them, and with two enormously long stretches for us to kick back and simply be (long void moons on Wednesday and Friday).
So what’s going on besides breathing? The pace is actually picking up speed. Mars, the planet of action, is covering ground quickly, while slow-and-steady Saturn is finally creeping forward, too. We’re just starting to forge new connections, new partnerships, new collaborations, new agreements, and new terms for all our existing ones. On top of which some of us have some debris to deal with. All aspects of that process switches to investigation mode by the weekend, when two retrogrades lead us into some backtracking.
On Friday, Uranus starts to back away from the foundation-shaking conflict he’s engaged in with Pluto. (Pluto will turn around and catch up with him at the end of September.) These days, Uranus’ flashes of brilliance have had the impact of flaming arrows, daring, impulsive and revolutionary to the point of recklessness. His retrograde, which lasts into December, may cool some of the fires, and some of the hotheads, or maybe just let them gather more ammo. The option is open for you to revisit the shaken foundations and consider how you could free yourself from them or shift your perspective on them. As for those new connections and agreements you’re making, how could you
On Saturday, Mercury goes retrograde till August 8. Everything he rules is up for second looks, not to mention snarls and delays — communications, technology, traffic, transportation and vehicles. Phones, computers, the Internet and all the latest wireless gadgets are especially vulnerable. Redundant technologies and backup plans are key to navigating this without going hoarse from screaming in frustration. Use this time for examining the fine print, investigating new connections and agreements, and unraveling the ones that are going under. Clean up, reorganize and tidy up the clutter that the volatility of the past few weeks has thrown off. Hold off on launching new projects, signing major business deals (unless you want the flexibility to rework them later) and making high-dollar purchases or investments.

Monday: The backdrop of the day: Wondering what is truth and what is an illusion. Don’t ignore those little jiggles that have you questioning your sanity. That may be fine, but likely something else isn’t. Pay attention and you may figure out what. Emotionally the day could be quite a ride. Observe when you hit a wall of anger or aggression. Grab any stabilizing force you encounter (like heading for a railing going down tricky steps); push off and away from any power play or roaring demon that pops up. The day’s end brings relief, or release, or change of heart, or possibly all.
Tuesday: The dreamworld suggests that, despite yesterday, all’s well in important connections. You may wake up feeling as if you’ve had conversations overnight. Maybe you have, but why not follow up on them in waking time? the evening challenges you to grow. Keep honoring those jiggles; figure out what’s not lining up correctly.
Wednesday: Whatever you go into today thinking it’s about, it’s about something else. The Moon is void of course from 5:23 AM to 7:30 PM EDT. There are no exact daytime aspects. Think. Let life play out. Pool rules apply: No pushing; no shoving.
Thursday: Stay in your power and the day will flow nicely. It’s full of evolutionary baby steps — those moments when you see how differently you’re handling change and the new conditions in your relationships. Heads could butt late in the day, but the prospect is great for regaining harmony.
Friday: Uranus stations retrograde today. The main impact of this annual event is to slow and stall normal activity for a day or two. Watch out for traffic jams on the information highway. (Remember when that was a cutting edge concept? Term? Anyone?) It’s a raspy, vaguely out of sorts day, which will gradually convince you that you deserve whatever you want this evening. Indulgence could go overboard. The Moon goes void of course before that impulse takes full form, from 3:46 PM until 8:27 AM EDT tomorrow.
Saturday: The day has a happy, expansive, chatty air, even if a sense of unreality sets in after noon. Doors open to pleasant conversations, some you’ve been wanting to have, others that simply leave you smiling. Mercury is stationing retrograde so take your time gadding about; roads could be jammed. Obligations chafe the later we get into the evening. The challenge is acting responsibly, to yourself first of all.
Sunday: The skies favor connecting, socializing and chatting. Opportunities for all could start popping up before first cups of coffee are finished. And that’s all she wrote. Funny that a Texanism fits — but it does.
