March is when the Sun transits through the Water element of Pisces and the Fire element of Aries. This month will be a time to stop and smell the roses. We will have three planets retrograde this month, Mars, the planet of energy and passion, Saturn, the planet of responsibility and lessons, and Mercury, the planet of communication and transportation. With all this energy retrograde there are bound to be accidents, miscommunications, technical difficulties, and lessons to learn. But the good thing is that this is also a time to reflect and take the time needed to set things right that are not. Don’t rush, be patient, take your time. The Universe isn’t going to let you go faster than it wants you to go anyway, so why try and beat the system.
Check out the following important dates to put on your calendar
March 3rd – Mercury, the planet of communication, thought, transportation & travel enters Aries, the sign of independence, passion, aggression, and leadership energy.
March 6th – Venus, the planet of love, money & beauty enters Taurus the sign of practical, sensuous, and determined energy.
March 7th – Full Moon in Virgo (modest, health minded, meticulous & practical). A Full Moon represents energy for releasing, letting go, endings and completions. A Full Moon can also mean a culmination of hard work which ends in celebration and maybe even moving into a totally unexpected direction. Signs most affected by this Full Moon will be Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius.
March 12th – April 3rd – Mercury, the planet of communication, transportation, thought and travel will retrograde in Aries and Pisces this month. Mercury retrogrades approximately 3 times a year. Mercury is the planetary ruler for Gemini and Virgo. During Mercury retrograde you will want to back up your computer, service your car and other electronics/machinery. This is a time to be patient when appointments don’t go as planned, travel is not on schedule or clear communication is not easily attainable. Another consideration of Mercury in retrograde is to not sign contracts or set up big business deals because they may not be in your best interest (remember there are always exceptions to this rule). This is a time to reflect on what’s going on in your life and either fine tune it, heal it, remove it, or adjust it. Mercury is giving you a great opportunity to put yourself in a better position than you once were! Signs most affected by this Mercury Retrograde will be Aries, Pisces, Virgo, and Libra.
March 22nd – New Moon in Aries (independent, passionate, aggressive, leader) – A New Moon represents new beginnings, planting seeds, and setting intentions for the coming month. This is also a time when you may need to let something go to make room for the new and improved coming into your life. For Aries, this is your one new moon of the year so you may want to set time aside to make a plan for the coming year. What do you want to see in 2012? Write it down and then take action during the coming months to make it happen. Signs most affected by this new moon will be Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn.

Provided below are the horoscopes for each sign, if you know your Rising/Ascendant sign, read that sign, as well as your Sun sign. To be clear, the Sun Sign forecast below is a generality. If you want specific information based on your birth chart, I am available for readings to help you have the best possible year ahead.
Pisces February 19 – March 20:
Happy Birthday Pisces! Last month your ruling planet Neptune moved into Pisces. Pisces with birthdays between Feb18th and 23rd will feel the Neptunian murky waters the most. This is a great time to connect to your creativity, music, and your intuition but it may be a little more challenging these days to focus and concentrate with Neptune in Pisces. Also, Mars and Saturn are retrograde and Mercury will be retrograde March 12th which means patience is key. Use this month to take things slowly and address issues that you’ve been procrastinating about. This is a perfect opportunity to reflect on the direction of life you’re heading in and ask yourself is it really aligned with the vision you have for yourself… The New Moon (new beginnings & planting seeds of intention) on March 22nd is in your money house. Take time on that day to focus on bringing more abundance and prosperity into your life.
Aries March 21 – April 19:
Those Aries with birthdays April 17th -20th are feeling the restriction of Saturn and low energy with you planetary ruler, Mars, still in retrograde. Pace yourself this month. Take care of necessary business and pamper your body and soul during this time. Your one New Moon for the year will be on March 22nd. Set aside some time that day to set your intentions for the coming year. Make 2012 an amazing year Aries!
Taurus April 20 – May 20:
March is not a time to dive in and take action but there are some great aspects for you Taurus. Jupiter, the planet of good luck, expansion, & attracting opportunity is still in Taurus until June 11th and it will be making some great aspects to your Sun and Pluto this month. Take this opportunity to plot and plan your next big move but don’t take action until April.
Gemini May 21 – June 21:
With Mars, the planet of energy, passion, anger, and assertion in retrograde in your fourth house of home and family this would be a good time to put your attention on that area of your life. Sometimes we go so fast in life we allow things to fall by the way side. The Universe is giving you an opportunity to stop and give energy (Mars) to what’s not working in your home and family life. Give it the attention it needs and things should work out for the better by the time Mars goes direct in April.
Cancer June 22 – July 22:
Jupiter, the planet of good luck, expansion, growth, and attracting opportunities is beaming in your 11th house of hopes and wishes. March is the month for you to really get clear on what your goals and priorities are so you can create a reasonable plan and start taking action in April. This month with Mercury going into retrograde you will want to reflect and adjust your agenda so you have no obstacles in your way when it’s time to take action in mid to late April.
Leo July 23 – August 22:
Life may get a little frustrating at work this month. Communications are where you will have to have the most patience. Before you react this month count to 10 and then respond. The good news is that you have Jupiter, the planet of good luck, expansion, growth, and attracting opportunities at the top of your chart, so you have the Universe on your side when problems arise. Just don’t test the Universe by reacting to quickly this month. Breathe, patience, and compassion should be your mantra.
Virgo August 23 – September 22:
This month pamper yourself. Mars, the planet of energy, passion, and assertion is still retrograde in your sign and so you are probably feeling that it is taking a little more effort just to get through the day. I know being the do do do Virgo it’s not in your normal make-up to take care of yourself because you are always so busy taking care of others. But this month and into April slow it down and pay attention to what your body is trying to tell you. You may just like this new habit and not go back to your old ways next month.
Libra September 23 – October 23:
Libras with birthdays on October 17th – 22nd are still feeling Saturn, the planet of burdens, responsibility, limitations, and lessons in their lives. Just remember this too shall pass and when it does it won’t be back for another 28 years! The good news this month is that you have a New Moon in your house of relationships, which can help give you a boost with your partner and if you don’t have a partner this energy can help you attract one.
Scorpio October 24 – November 21:
Scorpio you have a lot of amazing energy in your 5th house of creativity, self-expression, children, and romance. Neptune the ultimate planet of creativity has arrived and is ready to awaken you to another side of your soul. This month take your time and get acquainted with this new energy. Nothing needs to move fast this month. Inspiration may come to you when you least expect so keep a notepad close by. Enjoy dear Scorpio!
Sagittarius November 22 – December 21:
Work should be busy but it may seem harder to get things done. With Mars, the planet of energy and passion retrograde and Mercury, the planet of communication and transportation going retrograde this month things are bound to slow down and get confusing. Don’t take anything personal this month. Move slowly and take every change, missed appointment, flat tire or misunderstanding as an opportunity to stop and smell the roses.
Capricorn December 22 – January 19:
This is a perfect month all you Capricorns to take a couple of weekend get-a-ways. The energy in the Universe is directing you to slow down and take time out to reflect and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Mercury, the planet of communication and transportation will be going retrograde March 12th thru April 13th so make sure your plans are flexible. Your planetary ruler, Saturn, is retrograde as well so make sure that your responsibilities are covered before you leave town so you can have a carefree time. You deserve it!
Aquarius January 20 – February 18:
Your money houses are lit up this month. Neptune will try to deceive you into thinking that you have enough money when in actuality you may have some extra bills to pay that you forgot about. This year may be the year that you want to start your tax preparation early to make sure you have all your ducks in row and nothing is hiding to come out to bite you when it’s time to pay the tax man next month. Also, get your rest this month and don’t over exert yourself. Patience and self care should be your mantra for March.
